"TAX excemption for foreigners paying in foreign currency. According to the law stipulated in the articulo 12, letra E Nº 17, del D.L. Nº825, de 1974, payments in foreign currency to Hotel companies (services such as lodging, food, beverage, laundry,telephone) are exempted from Tax (IVA) to provide the services mentioned to foreign tourists who do not live or reside in Chile
